2024 indirect - See the 2024 note on John 13:18. This is a very Messianic Psalm and worth a very much closer look than I have given it before. I will look forward to reading it later this year.
2024 - A favorite verse of mine, but in the KJV:
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and [why] art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him [for] the help of his countenance. [Psa 42:5 KJV]. This is disconcerting...This is not how I memorized it. I remember...Why art thou cast down, oh my soul, and why art thou disquieted within me. Hope in God, for I shall yet praise him, who is the help of my countenance and my God. I did a search, and found my verse, along with one more. Here they are:
11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God. [Psa 42:11 KJV]
5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God. [Psa 43:5 KJV]. This last one is the one I had memorized.
