Chapter 1

This is a song, per MSB.  I see that the sections each have a "speaker", as a play would have.  So there is a dialogue back and forth.  A note says the translators have added these words based on the gender and number of the Hebrew verbs.  So they aren't really there.  MSB has an outline of the book, and 1:2-3:5 are about the courtship. 

First section:  The bride is speaking, announcing her love, and describing the reasons she is so dark.  Her brothers were angry with her and made her tend the sheep in the fields.

Second, The two alternate describing each other.  She talks about perfumes.  She is sensitive to his smell.
